The FV105 Sultan command vehicle is a derivative of the British CVR (T) family of tracked armored vehicles, produced by Alvis. The FV105 entered service with the British Army in the late 1970s. It is a version of the FV101 Scorpion light tank. The vehicle has a higher roof. The FV105 Sultan accommodates a crew of 5-6, including a commander, driver, radio operator, and watchkeepers. The rear of the FV105 Sultan is designed to be extended by an attached tent. The aluminum armor of the FV105 Sultan protects against small arms fire and artillery shell splinters. A front-mounted engine provides additional protection for the occupants. This armored command vehicle is fitted with an NBC protection system. This armored vehicle is typically armed with a single roof-mounted 7.62 mm machine gun, used for self-defense. The vehicle is powered by the Cummins BTA 5.9-liter diesel engine, developing 190 hp. It is worth mentioning that this command vehicle as well as all CVR (T) family was originally fitted with a commercially available Jaguar 4.2-liter petrol engine, which was later replaced with a more efficient diesel unit. Both engines have similar performance. The vehicle is air portable and can be fitted with a floatation kit. This tank does not come with a title. The 8-ton beast is ready for immediate delivery!
